Artist: Alfred Sisley

Art Movements: Impressionism

Alfred Sisley (1839 – 1899) was an impressionist landscape painter. He was the most consistent Impressionist in his devotion to painting en plein air (i.e., outdoors) landscapes. Like many of his landscapes, the remarkable paintings of the Seine and its bridges in the former suburbs of Paris are characterized by tranquility and are painted in pale greens, pinks, purples, dusty blues and creams. Over the years, Sisley's expressiveness and intensity of color increased. For a high quality reproduction we use Art paper in bright white with a matt surface. The art print is adjusted to the frame size. Frame with passe-partout.
