Nicolai Wilhelm Marstrand (1810-1873) was one of the most renowned artists of the Golden Age of Danish painting. Marstrand's creative output never gave up this tendency to depict the simple life of his time in numerous paintings and illustrations, which were created not only in the 1830s but throughout his life.
