Artist: Jørgen Roed

Art Movements: Denmark's Golden Age

Jørgen Roed (1808 – 1888) , Danish portrait and genre painter of the Golden Age. In addition to many portraits, he painted a number of altarpieces and religious paintings, including 'The Crucifixion of Jesus' in 1866 for the restored church at Frederiksborg Palace. Roed's artistic skills remained solid throughout his life, although the Golden Age ideals he espoused had long since faded away and been replaced by new creative impulses. For a high quality reproduction we use Art paper in bright white with a matt surface. The art print er adjusted to the frame size. Frame with passe-partout.
