Laurits Andersen Ring (15 August 1854 – 10 September 1933) was one of the most important Danish painters of the turn of the 20th century, pioneering both Symbolism and Social Realism in Denmark. The Danish artist is known and loved for his lively depictions of farmers, craftsmen and laborers and for his dense and misty images of the Zealand landscape.
