Artist: Jean-François Millet

Art Movements: Realism

Jean-François Millet (1814 - 1875) was a French artist and one of the founders of the Barbizon School of rural France. Known for his paintings of peasants, Millet belongs to the Realism art movement. He had to help his father with the field work. All of the farmer's work was familiar to him: mowing, making hay, tying sheaves, threshing, ploughing, sowing, etc. All of these motifs recurred in his later art. For a high quality reproduction we use Art paper in bright white with a matt surface. The art print er adjusted to the frame size. Frame with passe-partout.
