Giovanni Bellini (1426 - 1516) was an Italian Renaissance painter. Using clear, slow-drying oil paints, Giovanni created deep, rich tones and detailed shading. His lush colors and flowing, moody landscapes had a major impact on the Venetian school of painting, particularly his students Giorgione.
