Franz von Stuck (1863-1928) was a German painter, sculptor, graphic artist and architect. Stuck was best known for his paintings of ancient Egyptian mythology. From 1895 he taught painting at the Munich Academy. Over the years, his students have included Paul Klee, Hans Purrmann, Wassily Kandinsky, Alf Bayrle and Josef Albers.
