Paul Cézanne (1839–1906) was a French artist and Post-Impressionist painter whose work laid the groundwork for the transition from 19th-century artistic conception to a new and radically different 20th-century art world.Both Matisse and Picasso are to be said that Cézanne is "the father of us all". He used areas of color and small brushstrokes that build up into complex fields. The paintings convey Cézanne's intense examination of his subject.
